Thomas, a director and playwright in crisis, must create a play about Tennessee Williams. During the process, Serpiente appears — a magnetic, erotic, violent, and streetwise actor — whose presence reveals Thomas’s demons, desires, and wounds, drawing him into seeing himself in Williams’s work as if in a broken mirror.
